I have a 1790 spinning wheel for sale in excellent condition. I have the genealogy of the family of the wheel---the men were "turners" AKA spinning wheel makers in Ireland. The wheel has the original leathers, and all other original parts. Nothing is a subsutute or changed. It is a flax wheel and spinns like a dream.
It is a signed wheel. It's original maker came from Ireland in 1800 and handed the wheel making business down through the family. This wheel has been appraised to have been made in1790 by Dominick Cornyn.
For the fun of it I traced the family back further and dicovered that his grandfather was a priveteer for the the reining King of England during the late 1600-early 1700's.
I am asking 1200.00 cash or money order. You are free to come here to look it over if you call first. I have not cleaned it and it needs a cleaning. I do not want to ruin the provenance.
