I spent over 25 years collecting over 600 items from Smith Corona's first typewriter in 1886 through all of their major and rare typewriter models, and includes operating manuals, accessories, ads, displays, documents, shipping crates, photos and more from throughout over 100 years of operation. The items are from 44 of the 50 United States, Washington DC, four Canadian provinces and three foreign countries. All items are museum quality. The collection is substantial and is the history of a great American company, with great historical significance to Syracuse, NY and central NY.
The collection is currently, nicely displayed in a bay of my garage.
I have decided to sell the collection. The collection's value increases with each passing year due to the collectibility and rarity of the items, so not only is it a beautiful and historic display, it is also a great investment. I have received offers in the past. The price is negotiable.
I am only interested in selling the collection as a whole, in its entirety.
If you have interest, contact me and I will send you an information package that includes a detailed history of the company, a complete inventory list and photos.
