Pleasant Nightmares Dr. Neff And His Madhouse of Mystery! Hard-to-find out of print book about the legendary mid-century late night theatrical spook shows / spirit / ghost mystery magic acts. 315 pages loaded with over 325 photographs & illustrations, with interviews, fascinating descriptions and research. Unlike any other copies I've seen, this one comes with the publicity sheet shown in the third photo.

The author William V. Rauscher is a prolific magician, researcher and author. Pretty much all of his books have become treasured classics. It's hard to believe how much he compiled about Neff's unique 1940's / 1950's movie theater stage productions and the behind the scenes accounts.

Excellent condition, glossy large size hard cover book. Great reading for fans of grandiose magic tricks / illusions, stage shows and spiritualism themed history.
