I have a MacClean chemical free iron filtration removal system. It does not use any chemicals just what they call earth it works fantastic nothing wrong with the system you can set the regeneration from one day all the way up to every 12 days I had it set for every 6 days running 2 homes Depends on how much iron you get. I ran two houses with the system and my iron in the water for the incoming water would have an orange tint to it so yes, this is a very heavy duty system. I just replaced the Earth and the stones in the bottom about two years ago that did cost approximately $700. It should be good for at least another 15 years on the earth medium the only reason I'm selling it is because we've got the City water now Ocwa so I changed over to the city water $500
