Medium super hive setup.
Complete Hive set up which includes the bees
(1)5 medium frame honey bee nucleus(nuc) with 2026queen and bees, brood and honey frames that you installed Into the 1st super and add additional supers as the bees fill out the frames for additional space
-(5) Medium Supers with 10 frames(50), each super will have 10 frames, double waxed rite cell foundation.
Double wax foundation helps the bees build up the honey comb quicker,
-Reversing Bottom board, entrance reducer, inner cover and telescoping top cover.
All items listed above I consider a complete hive,
Medium hive setup eliminates the need to have different size boxes and frames keeping medium hives are also lighter to move and carry, add mediums as needed as the bees expand with 3 medium supers minimum for over wintering
You keep the nuc box and the extra 5 frames to keep on hand if case you catch a swarm of bees or use as swarm trap(free bees)
Last year average was 60lbs of honey from 2 medium supers(20 frames)

Make a deposit and take home the beehive to paint or stain. Pay the remaining balance when schedule to pick up the the 5 frame nuc around the last week of April-thru the 1st week of May, depending on the weather
