Almost feathered out .. I chose all of my biggest brown egg layers. In addition to the biggest blue egg layers. This batch of chickens were chosen for their large brown eggs mostly large blue eggs… they are very hearty and healthy chickens very good through winter. These are not hatchery quality chickens…. These chickens have been chosen for longevity and health…. And these are the breeds that get through winter without having issues. These are the breeds that forage on their own, and also are smart enough to dust bathe on their own…. we have Orpington’s and australorp mixes. there are also bantam silkies and few other fun mixes . We also breed for friendliness here as well as we are called lavendar friendly farm after the lavender Orpington .
