I’m selling a beautiful American Standard Double Bass. Serial number is 1228. I think that places it around 1940 or 1941 for the year of manufacture.

Bass will come with an old soft case and a realist pickup installed.

The bass has a D neck, new Kaplan strings, and a new German 10mm endpin.

String length is about 42 1/4"

I believe the neck has been changed to allow for this shorter string length (American Standards usually have 43" string length).

It has been professionally owned, and the bass had a historically notable owner before me. This bass is ready to bring home and start gigging with immediately. I can add a cheap carbon fiber bow if interested.
