Vintage 1970's Penco MIJ 5-string resonator banjo. Beautiful original one-owner like-new condition. Enlarge the photos to get a better look. Looks much better in person, like opening a time capsule. The workmanship, the inlay work, binding, finishing is amazing. I'm a guitar player and am very impressed with the craftsmanship.
Low string action, zero fret wear, great volume and tone. A high quality instrument crafted in Japan 50 years ago, this has been sitting unused, waiting years for someone to play some bluegrass, folk or country. If you're reading this, you may know that Japanese Iida made guitars and banjos starting in the 1970s (like their high-end Alvarez) are highly regarded and sell for double my asking price. Comes in a beautiful padded plush lined hardshell case. From a non-smoking home.
Prefer a cash deal but will consider a trade for similar value guitar, bass or amplifier. Willing to ship if buyer pays actual shipping cost.
