Greetings! I offer this B-flat trumpet marked "DYNASTY / LAKE GENEVA, WI / M502" on the bell throat. Serial number L21844. I believe this horn is around 15-20 years old. Bore measures .458" (medium-large) at the 2nd slide. 5" bell. Construction is yellow brass, with silverplate finish over nickelplate. This horn was specifically designed for marching band use, and sold for around $1000 new.
CONDITION: Cosmetically good, mechanically very good. Silverplate finish shows a fair amount of salt-&-peppering/lifting from use, showing spots of the nickel underplating. There are a few small dings here and there, hard to show in the pics, but no significant dents. I see no corrosion. The pistons are fairly tight with light, fast action and a little bit of blow-by. 3rd piston shows an area of plating wear. The 1st- and 3rd-slide triggers function properly. All caps turn. There is a small solder repair to one of the tuning slide braces. The horn has been cleaned, polished, and lubricated, and is ready to play right out of the case. The instrument is sold AS-IS with no warranties. See pictures. WYSIWYG.
PLAYING QUALITIES: It plays nicely with a full, heroic tone and fast response. I'd have no issue with taking it on one of my gigs. NOTE that I make no representations made about its suitability for your intended use.
THE STRAIGHT DOPE: This Dynasty trumpet would be a good marching band horn for a student, or a good backup horn for a recreational player. It is sold AS-IS. All sales FINAL unless I determine that I significantly misrepresented it. I'll be happy to answer any questions about the instrument itself. Thanks for looking!
NO SHIPPING: Local pickup ONLY, cash, in person. Located in Syracuse NY.
ATTENTION SCAMMERS: I DO NOT reply to "Is this still available?" If the post is up, it's available. I've seen it all. NO bank drafts; NO "agents"; NO meeting you at some parking lot; NO text messages; NO blind gee mail addresses. I may have been born at night, but not LAST NIGHT.
All you nice honest folks out there in Craigslistland, please contact me if you have an interest in this instrument. I'll be glad to email/text more pics and details. Thanks for looking!
