Giardinelli/Eastman Venrus Trombone with Open Wrap Convertible F-attachment
Please read the entire description, and the terns of sale below!
Greetings! I offer this Nice step-up F-attachment trombone marked "Ventus / by Eastman" on the bell throat. This is a budget-minded large-bore step-up horn for the advancing student or adult amateur, with features of far more expensive professional instruments. The open-wrap F-attachment can be removed and replaced with the included straight gooseneck. Three removable leadpipes are included (one #1 and two #3's.) Serial number 120930. Construction is yellow brass with nickel trim, with lacquer finish.
CONDITION: Very good overall. The lacquer is about 95%+, with minor wear and scratches. There are some small dings and dents scattered around the instrument, and a dent repair to the main tuning slide bow. There have been a couple small solder joint repairs, with minor burning of the lacquer, hardly noticeable. There is a little bit of plating loss on one inner handslide stocking. The slide feels a bit gummy and could no doubt use a professional cleaning, which I will leave to the new owner. The instrument is sold AS-IS with no warranties. See pictures. WYSIWYG.
PLAYING QUALITIES: I'm not a trombonist so I can't speak to its finer qualities, although it seems to play well. NOTE that I make no representations made about its suitability for your intended use.
ACCESSORIES: Original wheeled case in excellent condition with shoulder strap in external zippered compartment, Vincent Bach "small letter" 6-1/2AL large-shank mouthpiece, 3 removable mouthpipes, straight-tenor gooseneck, lubricants. See pictures; WYSIWYG.
PAYMENT: IN PERSON cash on pickup ONLY.
SHIPPING: NO SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM, it is too large and bulky for economical shipping.
THE STRAIGHT DOPE: This Giardfinelli/Eastman Ventus F-attachment trombone would be a good horn for an advancing student or recreational player. It is sold AS-IS. All sales FINAL unless I determine that I significantly misrepresented it.
ATTENTION SCAMMERS: I've seen it all. NO bank drafts; NO "agents"; NO meeting you at some parking lot; NO text messages; NO blind gee mail addresses. I may have been born at night, but not LAST NIGHT.
All you nice honest folks out there in Craigslistland, please contact me if you have an interest in this instrument. I'll be glad to email/text more pics and details and to answer any questions about the instrument itself. Thanks for looking!
