I have for sale a pair of Atomic Vantage 90 CTI all mountain skis with Atomic Warden 13 bindings. They are 169 cm long. Bindings are currently set up for a boot sole length of 340mm. The Warden offers a 28 to 32mm range of boot sole length before requiring a full remount (if so, I’ve had it done once on these in Killington for $50 - they epoxy the holes with no compromise to the ski). The skis were purchased new by me from Peak Performance in Killington VT - a real ski shop that is open all year for skiing not bicycle sales over the summer. They provide skis to racers all over the world that are skiing during our summer. Basin Ski shop, also in Killington, did the remount. Skis are in great shape, this has been one of my favorite skis - very playful, perfect width for the northeast. The skis have a few scuffs on the top sheet, the bottoms have been hand waxed regularly - they have minor scratches and one area of minor P-Tex repair. One ski strap included. The Atomic Vantage 90 CTI is an all-mountain ski for advanced skiers, known for its versatility in both on-piste and off-piste conditions. Key technologies include Carbon Tank Mesh for strength and reduced weight, a Firewall sidewall for vibration dampening and edge grip, and an All Mountain Rocker for liveliness on hard snow and better flotation in powder.
Key features and technologies
Waist width: 90mm, designed to offer a balance between on-piste performance and off-piste capability.
Carbon Tank Mesh: A grid of carbon fibers that adds strength and stability without adding much weight.
Firewall Sidewalls: Extra-thick sidewalls that dampen vibrations and improve power transmission to the ski's edges for better grip.
All Mountain Rocker: This design helps the ski perform well on hardpack while also providing lift in powder.
Titanium Backbone: An insert that enhances the ski's responsiveness and power.
Performance and design
Versatility: The ski is praised for its ability to handle a wide range of conditions, from groomed runs to soft snow and crud.
On-piste performance: It is described as a strong piste ski with excellent edge hold, partly due to the Firewall sidewalls and Carbon Tank Mesh.
Off-piste performance: The 90mm waist and All Mountain Rocker provide good flotation and maneuverability in softer snow.
Stability: The combination of the Titanium Backbone and Carbon Tank Mesh makes it stable at speed while remaining nimble.
The Atomic Warden 13 is a durable, Multi-Norm Certified (MNC) alpine ski binding known for its versatility and strong downhill performance, suitable for a wide range of boot types.
Key Features & Design
The 2016 Atomic Warden 13 binding is part of a generation designed to work with almost any ski boot sole, which makes it a highly adaptable choice for all-mountain and freeride skiing.
Multi-Norm Compatibility: The key feature is the MNC certification, which means the binding is compatible with all normed boot soles: standard Alpine (ISO 5355), Walk to Ride (WTR), GripWalk, and Alpine Touring (ISO 9523) boot soles.
DIN Range: It offers a release value (DIN) range of 4 to 13, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced/expert skiers weighing approximately 92 to 275 lbs.
Power Transmission: The binding features an Oversized Platform and U-Power Toe, which provide maximum lateral power transmission and precise steering, especially beneficial for wider skis.
Dampening: Progressive Transfer Pads in the heel piece offer a progressive feel with increased dampening and forgiveness.
Low Profile Chassis: The low stand height brings the skier closer to the ski, enhancing terrain feedback and control.
Freeski Brakes: The self-retracting brakes are designed to eliminate hang-ups during switch landings and are interchangeable with other models like the STH2 and Guardian.
